Ordered by the US Navy as PV-1 48722. Transferred to the RAF as Ventura GR.V JS942 then diverted to the SAAF as 6458. To Howard Aero in San Antonio, TX in 1959, converted to a Super Ventura by 1962 and registered as N130PL. Converted to Howard 500 c/n 500-114 in 1964 and reregistered as N130P.
