This Il-62 was first registered as DM-SEG in May 1973, becoming DDR-SEG in October 1981. The plane made its last flight in October 1989 into the grass strip at Stölln-Rhinow where it is now preserved. The plane is named 'Lady Agnes' after Agnes Lilienthal, the wife of the German aviation pioneer Otto Lilienthal (who performed many of his gliding experments in the Rhinow hills near Stölln).
