This DC-7B had been parked at St Paul since the early 1970's. Restored by Carlos Gomez in 2010 and painted in period EAL colors. The aircraft's first post restoration flight was in July 2010 and the aircraft was flown on the airshow circuit until it experienced an engine failure taking off from Charlotte, North Carolina on November 18, 2011. It has remained grounded and parked at the Carolinas Aviation Museum since then. Uploaded with permission Bill Hirsch. This photo is copyright © Ralph M.
