This Hip-C was built in March 1969 and flew as CCCP-22461 with the Georgia and Tyumen directorates of Aeroflot. The frame was retired as time expired in August 1987 and used for ground instruction by the Riga Aviation Institute (RKIIGA). It then fell into disrepair but, fortunately, transported on a flatbed truck to Switzerland in early 2017 and used as a cafe at this spotting point at Zürich (LSZH / ZRH). It was overturned by a hailstorm in July 2021 so great to see it serving customers again during my visit. This photo is copyright © Alastair T.
