The Finnish Air Force purchased nine two-seat de Havilland D.H.115 Vampire Trainer Mk.55 jet trainers in 1955. The aircraft type was the first jet trainer in Finland as well as the first aircraft type equipped with ejection seats. The last flight of the type in the Finnish Air Force was flown with the VT-8 on July 15th 1965. The aircraft consist of an unrestored fuselage.
