After a protracted battle with Canadian officials, the Museum of Flight was finally granted permission to move their Super Connie from Toronto to the US. The aircraft arrived at the Empire Aero Center facility in Elmira, New York on June 7, 2007. It arrived on a convoy of flatbed trucks and was restored in Trans Canada Airlines colors as CF-TGE.
