This CASA 352 was originally with the Ejercito del Aire (EdA). In May 1976, it landed at Düsseldorf (DUS) and spent the next 14 years on the visitor's terrace of Pier B as D-CIAK. In 1991 it was lifted off the terrace and the following year transported to Switzerland for evaluating the possibility of a return to airworthiness. Restoration followed (primarily at Manching) and from 1997 to 2016 the plane was based at from Mönchengladbach (MGL) and flew, as HB-HOY, 7236 hours and 57 minutes and made 7688 landings. The plane now has a great home at MGL to spend her retirement years. This photo is copyright © Alastair T. Gardiner, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
