The old Terminal 1 of Lanzarote Airport has been in use between 1946 and 1970. Today it hosts a tiny aviation collection outdoors and inside it tells the story of aviation on the island from its first steps way back in 1919 until the busy days of charter tourism, when the unique Terminal buidling finally came to its limits. The engine in the foreground might be the only part being left from the former Air France Lockheed Constellation F-BHBI, which was destroyed by a fire in 1984 after a longterm storage.
