An Elliniki Polemikí Aeroporía Mirage F1CG of 342 Mira in its tak-off. This 118 was one of four F1s visiting RAF Laarbruch in Germany during a squadron rotation with the RAF Tornado's of 2sq (the others were 114, 122 and 129. When finding a place for photography near the RAF base, completely unexpected this F1CG buzzed our heads. 118 sadly crashed in the Aegean Sea near Psathoura which is near a gunnery range on 22 September 1999. The F1CG experienced an engine fire but the pilot was able to eject on time and survived the crash.
