When this picture was taken, the Naval Strike Wing had just been formed at RAF Cottesmore. It operated the Harrier GR9 until 2010. Unfortunately, already in that year it was decided to withdraw the Harrier from service. This aircraft went to Davis Monthan AFB for storage at AMARG.
