After a long rebuilt this plane made its first flight on October 5th, 2000. It is owned by Harold Kindsvater and based at the former Castle AFB in California. Even the FAA registry denotes this aircraft as a Messerschmidt ME-109, however, it is clearly a Spanish built Hispano HA-1112.
