Brand new, VH-UVU awaits delivery to Western and Southern Provincial Airlines of Sydney. In 1938 UVU was fitted with auxiliary fins to try to improve stability but it remained a troubled aircraft. It was withdrawn from use in 1943 over fears about the safety of the airframe.
