ZK-ABR departing Sydney for London flown by Francis Chichester and FD Herrick. The plane had been shipped to Sydney from New Zealand for the flight. While the library caption says the aircraft is taking off, the "runway" is the taxiway serving the hangars in the background. The aircraft may actually be doing a low pass for the camera before heading off. ZK-ABR was sold in the UK as G-AFDH in 1937.
