This Fishbed L/N was painted into these special colours to commemorate the end of MiG-21 operation by the Hungarian AF on 24th August 2000. The plane originally carried the dates '1950 - 2000' on its starboard side but these at some point have been changed to '1962 - 1997'. The plane carries the dates '1961 - 2000' on its port side, the years that the MiG-21 flew with the Hungarian AF. This photo is copyright © Alastair T.
