NZ948 spent much of its time with the RNZAF as an instructional airframe. It was sold in 1958 to Bennett Aviation which was developing an agricultural aircraft that used some T-6 components. NZ948 ended on the scrap heap but the fuselage may be part of project for a static exhibit aircraft. The aircraft painted as "NZ948" at the RNZAF Museum is c/n 88-16326 ex NZ1087.
