The Toronto Aerospace Museum hosted a 60th Anniversary DHC-1 Chipmunk homecoming and symposium at the aircraft's birthplace at the original DHC factory at Downsview Airport in late May 2006. Retired DHC test pilot and vintage aircraft restorer George Neal is seen here in his Chipmunk CF-JAG in front of Bombardier Global Express (BD-700-1A10) C-FEBQ (msn 9196) built at Downsview in 2006. Neil died in April 2016 at the age of 97. His Chipmunk is now owned by Viking Aircraft which owns the Type Certificates for the DHC-1 through DHC-8 aircraft families.
