This was the seventh F-15A built. It was assigned to Edwards AFB from 1973 - 1980. In November 1980 it was assigned to Chanute AFB for use as a ground instructional airframe and redesignated a GF-15A. When the base closed it was transferred to the Octave Chanute Air Museum. The museum closed in 2015 and the a/c was relocated to the Saint Louis Science Center in Saint Louis, Missouri.
