In 1986, the Japanese Maritime Safety Agency patrol boat Settsu sailed to Canada to attend Expo 86 in Vancouver, BC. While in Vancouver, the ship based Bell 212, JA9575, participated in a helicopter flypast of the Expo 86 site during Search & Rescue week. It's seen landing at the Canadian Coast Guard heliport at Kitsilano Beach. The heliport was later destroyed in a fire. This 212 was exported to Canada in 2015 and converted by Eagle Copters to a Eagle Single with the P&WC TwinPac replaced by a single Honeywell T5317A. It was flown by Yellowhead Helicopters as C-GJYH and is now N377PA. This photo is copyright © Kenneth I. Swartz, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
