Canadian Armed Forces CH-113A Labrador 11304 operated by 442 Squadron departs the Canadian Coast Guard hovercraft base on the south side of (YVR) Vancouver Airport. Commencing in 1978, six CH-113 Labradors and 12 CH-113A Voyageur helicopters when through an upgrade program at Boeing Canada Ltd. of Arnprior, Ontario to expand their search and rescue (SAR) capability. Phase One was an "Interim Avionics Program" and Phase Two was "Search & Rescue Capability Upgrade Program (SARCUP)" during which all the aircraft received high visibility yellow paint.
