This F2H-2P is wearing its correct Bureau Number but is painted as an F2H-2P of VMJ-1, which it was never assigned to. 126673 actually was assigned to VMJ-2 at Cherry Point, N.C. and later to VC-62 at NAS Jacksonville, FL. While with VC-62 it made a cruise aboard USS Coral Sea from March 1955 - August 1955. It was retired from USN service in July 1958. It was then transferred to Vero Beach, FL. where it was displayed in a park. It was acquired by the museum in 1989 and restored to its present condition. Under the nose are two aerial cameras on display. This photo is copyright © Bob Thomas, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
