MV-22B 168343 leading a flightline of three Osprey's. The VMM-AMERICA markings were adapted during the process of rotating ground-based USMC VMM-squadrons. Initially, the unit numbers and tails were repainted on the aircraft that stayed in theatre, while the squadron personnel were rotating. But later, all Osprey's were seen with USS-AMERICA titels while only the tails markings and squadron codes were repainted. This MV-22B belongs to the Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force - Crisis Response - Central Command (SP-MAGTF-CR-CC) at an undisclosed location in Southwest Asia.
