This F-4B, piloted by LT Winston Copeland, downed a VPAF MiG-17 on 11 June 1972 using an AIM-9 Sidewinder missile. The RIO (Radar Intercept Officer) was LT Don Bouchoux. The a/c is currently on display at American Legion Post 1434 in Hinsdale, New York. Note the MiG-17 silhouette painted on the air intake splitter plate.
