Recently restored, this B-47E is on permanent loan from the USAF Museum in Dayton and is now part of the collections of the National Museum of Nuclear Science and History in Albuquerque. In its operational life, this particular aircraft served as a testbed for various projects, most notably the development of fly-by-wire systems.
