This Turbo Beaver was delivered new to the Ontario Dept. of Lands and Forests (now Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources on Jul, 25, 1966 and has been based at MNR hangar at Smoke Lake in Algonquin Park for at least the past 20 years, with a new seaplane ramp installed in 2017. The aircraft is maintained at the MNR hangar at Muskoka Airport and this is where the aircraft is converted to wheel/skis for winter operations on the frozen lake and snow. The aircraft is parked on the base helipad in this photo. The plane is used to fly Algonquin's park rangers to remote sites. This photo is copyright © Kenneth I.
