This Dash 8-300 was delivered new to Air Ontario in April 1991. After the merger of Air Canada and Canadian Airlines, in 2001, AC consolidated its regional airlines and Halifax-based Jazz was born. Later, when AC ran into financial troubles it sold Jazz to investors. In March 2021, AC and Jazz revised their capacity purchase agreement as a result of Covid-19. Major changes included Jazz taking over 25 E175s from Skyregional, continuing to fly 39 78-seat Dash 8-400s and retiring all 19 of its DHC-8-300s, including C-FMDW. Most of the retired Jazz Dash 8-100/300s are now stored in North Bay, ON. This photo is copyright © Kenneth I. Swartz, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
