Furnished with a colourful tail "70 years 312 squadron", is seen heading for the skies after a so-called overshoot. The squadron, named Bonzo, was established in 1951 and has a swing-wing role, giving air support to ground troops as well as air defense. The squadron has reportedly also a more secretive task, its nuclear capable. 312 started to fly with Thunderjets, swapped to Thunderstreak in 1956 and transited to Starfighter in late 1965. On 27 July 1984 the first F-16A arrived for 312sq and these be part of the squadron up to 2024 when the F-35A will make its appearance.
