The Yak-38 (NATO reporting name 'Forger') was the Soviet Union's only operational VTOL strike fighter aircraft, developed specifically for the Kiev-class aircraft carriers. This upgraded M-version (Forger-A), one of 50 built, is on display at the Central Museum of the Air Forces at Monino. This photo is copyright © Alastair T.
