This Viscount was delivered to Lufthansa in April 1959 and flew with the airline for just over ten years. Lufthansa proved to be its only operator as the plane was retired and converted to a restaurant at Escherhausen, West Germany until 2001. It was then dismantled and trucked to Hannover-Ricklingen where it serves customers looking for Greek food. This photo is copyright © Alastair T.
