First flight in February 1983 and withdrawn from use at Erding in 2005. Preserved at the MTU headquarters since September 2006. MTU started as BMW Flugmotorenbau in 1934 and the Motoren- und Turbinen-Union indeed took part in the development of the Tornado power plant.
