The introduction of the F-16 was the reason to look back at the fighter tradition of the Leeuwarden wing. The F-16 is accompanied by a Starfighter of 323-squadron. The Royal Air Force kindly assisted with Meteor VZ467 in the colours of 324-squadron (code 3P) and Hunter XF435 with code 4R of 325-squadron. The two latter squadrons are no longer flying units.
