This Sea Knight ditched in the Pacific off southern California and sank to the ocean floor on 8 November 1992. The crew reported engine troubles during a Vertical Replenishment mission. 153314 is seen here with markings of Detachment 9, when assigned to Combat Stores Ship USS Mars (AFS‑1).
