Originally built with USN Bureau Number 39942. This a/c has a hastily painted FAA registration as it was being flown to the Louisiana Polytechnic Institute in Ruston, LA. after being acquired surplus. Note that not all the military markings were painted over which normally is required when receiving a former military a/c.
