Alpine Helicopters Bell 407, C-FALF, landing at the Canmore Municipal Heliport (CEW9), Alberta. Prior to Feb. 2002, it was N4431X in the US and CC-CWS in Chile. This Alpine base offers sightseeing flights of the Rocky Mountains and also performs mountain rescues flights for Parks Canada in nearby Banff National Park. In 1996, Alpine bought Canadian Mountain Holidays (CMH), the world's largest heli-skiing company. Then, ski resort developer Intrawest Corp. bought Alpine and CMH in 1998, but had to sell its majority stake in Alpine in 2012 to ensure Alpine was 75% Canadian-owned.
