Previously 58-7026, this Helio received the Taiwanese civil registration B-835 in 1960. To B-865 after repairs in 1962. To XW-PGB in 1969. Serving with Air Asia and Air America in Laos and Vietnam, it survived numerous crashes and accidents, including a drop 'from a high altitude' by a Chinook in 1967 after an emergency landing made by the pilot who took this photo - 'probably at Tan Son Nhut'. Sold to Philippines in 1974. Photo by: Robert L Wofford / University of Wisconsin-Madison This photo was added on 15 January 2022, and has since been viewed 402 times. |
