A F/A-18B of Fiscal Year 1980. The dual was delivered to the US NAvy on 21 October 1981 and started it life with Fleet Replacement Squadron VFA-125 from NAS Lemoore (CA). By late 1986, it was moved to the Blue Angels at Penscaola (FL). In October 1991, the NASA received the Hornet and registered the aircraft as N846NA.
