Delivered to the USAF on 07 April 1945 as 44-76699, it was sold to the Royal Air Force as KN503 and later to the Armee de l'Air as 476699. It entered civil service as F-RASV, F-RAZD, F-RBFB, F-RAOE, F-RASE and F-SCOD before sold to Israel on 27 January 1967. With the Israel Defense Force Air Force, the Dakota was serialled 037/4X-FNW and became an Electronic Intelligence aircraft. The sneaky Dak was later reserialled to 042. It served 120sq and 122sq and was the very last operational Dakota of the Israeli Air Force.
