D-8047 pictured in the early hours of the Open House at De Peel. This frame was lost on December first 1981 due to a double-feed to the canon during a strafing pass at the Vliehors. The explosion blew the gun door out. Subsequently parts of the gun got into the air intake and damaged the engine compressor. The pilot ejected safely and was rescued. The wreckage was later recovered, excluding the ejection seat & canopy which were never found. Later on the feeder mechanism of the canon got modified.
