D3139 at the end of a flight from Invercargill at the southern tip of New Zealand to Auckland via Timaru and Wellington. With no landing ground in the city, the plane alighted in parkland at One Tree Hill. D3139 was part of the post-World War I Imperial Gift. NZ had no air arm so it became G-NZAM in 1922 and was operated by a civilian firm until 1923 when an air force was established.
