This Fishbed-C was TOC with the Polish AF in September 1963 and flew with the 11th, 40th, 4th and 2nd Fighter Aviation Regiments. From 1974 until 1990 it was a ground instructional airframe at COSSTWL (Centralny Ośrodek Szkolenia Specjalistów Technicznych (Central Training Center for Technical Specialists) at Olesnica but in October of that year it was transferred to this superb museum for display.
