This Fishbed-J was accepted into the Polish AF in April 1974 and went on to fly with various regiments during its service career. One of these was the 10th Fighter Aviation Regiment based at Lask, which it joined in August 1993. In 2000 the plane was painted in this golden scheme to celebrate the 55th anniversary of the regiment's foundation. In January 2003 the plane was retired and stored for three years at Lask before being placed at this wonderful museum. This photo is copyright © Alastair T.
