The aircraft was wrecked at Hall Beach/NU (CYUX) on 1 February 1962 when three engines failed after take-off due loss of oil pressure. It had been left outside for about 90 minutes in -37 deg temperature with 15 mph wind and the oil had started to congeal resulting in blown gaskets and oil coolers etc. This photo was added on 11 February 2022, and has since been viewed 738 times. |
