One of the two famous Virgin Jumbo special shape balloons came out of retirement for the Bristol Balloon Fiesta's 40th event. It is no longer airworthy, but it was inflated and tethered for crowds to enjoy on the Saturday. G-UMBO was registered to Virgin Atlantic Airways in April 1986, then to Virgin Airship and Balloon Co. Ltd in April 1991. It was permanently retired in 2002 and cancelled from the register in February 2003.
