In the winter of 1917/18 pilot training for the Royal Flying Corps/RAF in Canada was moved to the Fort Worth region to escape the harsh Canadian winter. They were based at three US Army airfields close to Fort Worth. The caption on the photo says this is at Cresson which was not one the airfields. But the town of Cresson is a short distance from Benbrook airfield which was used by the Canadians. The lack of any infrastructure in the photo suggests this is a landing ground and not one of the Army airfields. C760 transferred to the US military.
