On 9 January 2019, this 2000D of EC 001.03 "Navarre" was performing a mission in instrument flight conditions in a restricted area. After ten minutes of flight in the Defence Very Low Altitude Network field tracking mode, the crew was tasked to perform a SCALP firing pass simulation. Radar and radio contact was lost as the aircraft flew over the Mignovillard forest in a right-hand turn. Aircraft wreckage was found at the end of the day 2 kilometres south-east of this commune.
