This AB47 is former Luftwaffe AS060 and 74+18 before it was flown to Malta (inside a C-160D) on 24 May 1972. The small helicopter became 9H-AAF on 14 July 1972 and was assigned to the Armed Forces of Malta / Air Squadron and the 2nd Regiment. The civil registration 9H-AAF was cancelled on 5 December 1997.
