After being retired from Naval Air Reserve Training Unit Jacksonville, this A-4A was in storage awaiting transfer to the George T. Baker Aviation School in Miami. It is still there and currently on display. At one time it was registered with the FAA as N5548. The dual Navy/Marine markings were once used in the Naval Air Reserve as both the Navy Reserve and the Marine reserve units at a base shared the same aircraft. The NARTU was responsible for the maintenance and assignment of the available aircraft. This photo is copyright © Bob Thomas, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
