This Hughes OH-6A was operated by the Mississippi National Guard in January 1985 and seen at Gulfport / Biloxi - International Airport where the National Guard has an Aviation Classification Repair Activity Depot (AVCRAD) for servicing Army helicopters in the region. After retirement from the military, this OH-6A became N12UT with the Utah Department of Public Safety. It was destroyed in a fatal crash on July 30, 1994 in heavily wooded ridge line located at 8,850 feet MSL approximately 26 nautical miles west of Duchesne, Utah. The pilot was returning from a cancelled search mission. This photo is copyright © Kenneth I. Swartz, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
