In 1972 three KC-97s were acquired by the Spanish AF from the NY ANG for aia-to-air refueling of their F-4Cs. The tankers were based at Torrejon and finally retired in 1976. This example is ex-USAF 53-0198 and is now on display at the super Museo del Aire at Cuatro Vientos. This photo is copyright © Alastair T.
