Central Flying School, RAAF Base East Sale, used the Winjeel for flying instructor courses and refresher flying. Aircraft would have been on strength of the maintenance squadron. The East Sale Winjeel had the last two numbers of the serial number on the forward section of the fuselage clear of the "Day-Glo". This differed from the Point Cook-based Winjeels that had the two numbers on the "Day-Glo" engine cowling.
