The VSB-66 Orlice was intended to have high-performance and was the first Czechoslovak glider designed with butterfly tail surfaces. The first of two prototypes was flown in September 1970 but shortly therefater crashed, leading to a degree of mistrust that was never overcome and to the rejection of serial production. This is the second prototype and is exhibited from the roof of the main hall of the this super museum. This photo is copyright © Alastair T.
